new iCloud email account not working - duplicate/ambiguous directory match error

I set myself up a new iCloud account this morning once I got iOS 5 loaded on my iPhone 3GS. I was able to create a new email address, but I think I might have stepped on someone else's existing address as when I send it email, I get a rejection immediately with "duplicate/ambiguous directory entry". iCloud email doesn't work on, and iCloud mail account on the iPhone tells me the user or password is incorrect.


Other than that, iOS 5 is working great so far!
