I migrated from MobileMe to iCloud this morning and my email has been all screwed up since then. Like other posters it seems I can send emails, but I cannot receive them. On my iPhone4 I keep getting a dialog box saying my user name or password is incorrect. On my iMac I get a box saying the p99-IMAP.mail.me.com is not accepting my password. On my MBP I don't get a dialog box and I seem to get the emails sporadically. It makes no sense.
the one thing I am confused about is the whole AppleID/MobileMe/iCloud login name. My AppleID had always been MYNAME and my MobileMe email address was MYNAME@mac.com. When I went to iCloud it now says my iCloud login has to be an email address so it is entereded as MYNAME@me.com in one place and MYNAME@mac.com in another. Is this part of the issue? When I use iTunes or the MacApp store is my new login MYNAME@mac.com or just MYNAME as it always was before? This has always been the confusing thing for me with the way Apple has done there AppleIDs. I wish they would just allow us to merge them.

@TosaDeac - same thing here - password error message form p99-IMAP.mail.me.com
I find that the issue is intermittent, though currently it's mostly non-working.
Immediately after the switch, it worked. I got my iCloud welcome message in Mail.app / OS X and on the iPhone. iCloud Webmail worked.
Then Mail.app was not working with the password error message for a while. iCloud webmail still worked.
Now, nothing is working - not Mail.app, iCloud, or iPhone. My password is fine as I can log into iCloud, only Mail is down.
So I guess, at the end of the day, iCloud mail simply doesn't work right now. Fix it, Apple.

I don't believe it is anything to do with "mac.com" versus "me.com" as both worked fine for me last night. This is something else and has taught me once again not to be an early adopter.

@Canny - I believe that too.
I think it's just the servers melting down. I just read that internet traffic in the entire UK was up 30% because of the iOS 5 update - if there's a similar effect elsewhere, I am guessing they just can't handle the numbers signing up.
Not a big consolation - one would think, with the size of the new data center, and with the experiences from MobileMe, Apple would do better.

I am also having the same issue; password for email is rejected. Unable to login into the mail app on .cloud.com.
I also noted my account changed and states I have a $20 storage plan now - that I did NOT sign up for!
APPLE PLEASE FIX ASAP!

its very strange ... i can send from my school email and receive immediately to icloud on all ios devices but i cant receive anything from gmail
it has to be a gmail (or certain mail addresses) that is not working correctly ... fishy. apple v google

It is just odd how it is so sporadic. I suddenly had all three devices working and got a group of 10 emails. I tried a few test emails and they worked, and then it went back to the same problems. I can still use iCal, Address Book, and PhotoStream fine, but mail is obviously not stable.
I agree witht he early adopter problem, but it is so hard to not jump right on it after being teased about the features for the past few months. They should do more of a staged upgrade instead of so many things on the same day. Update iTunes and iPhoto one day, OS X Lion the next, iOS5 the next, and then iCloud a few days later, and those silly Apps like Cards even later. There are just too many of us trying to do all of this at the same time. I don't blame everyone for trying to, Apple needs to save us from ourselves!

...aaaaand we're gone again. Hang on... sending but no aliases on iPhone, everything seems fine on iPad (except loss of gestures, grrrrrrrrr), no aliases on MacBook Pro, and no mail at all on Mac Mini.
Repeat after me, I will never be an early adopter again, I will never be an early adopter again,...

Strange everything seems to be working here, I'm even forwarding all my gmail to my iCloud account. I really like the web interface, but I'm going to have to figure out how to change the web iCal leather. Anyway they seem to be getting thing working.
