You are a little too understanding.

These things would not happen if their architecture were sized and tested correctly.

The email issue is particularly egregious as it is the easiest thing to plan for.  I've rolled out many extremley large proejcts for global companies and I would have been fired if one of my rollouts turned out this way.

All these "same here" posts.... looks like I have to find the solution myself... which I did.. sign out of iCloud, and when it asks you to sign in, sign in with your @me.com email address (not your apple id), and use your apple ID password, and you're in like flint.

Hmm, and I thought I was the hero of the day here... well, worked for me.  Created the @me.com account via the phone, then signed out, then into iCloud with the @me.com account and Apple ID password.

If it provides any useful background I'm getting the same thing, but it was an account that I migrated from mobileme.

So after I did that there was a new 'iCloud' inbox and the old mobileme inbox, I deleted that one because it wasn't working after moving (through outlook either, so I deleted it there too).  The inbox that was left was the iCloud one, which is getting that error.  I also get the error that I can't use it for iCloud backups, so I don't know if it has something to do with it being moved from MobileMe?

Also I have a different apple id on the phone that was there after upgrading, a yahoo.com account, that is what I have on my itunes and seems to be working for that, I can see purchased music, tv shows etc.. so not sure if the two account could be causing some kind of conflict?  It'd be great if I could use two account so the family can access music (well, ok the wife)..

Anyway hope that provides some background info, not sure if your situation is similar.

I fixed this problem by changing my iCloud password using my iPhone under Settings > Store. It now works for me. Good-luck all!

Yeah, just gotta sit and wait for them to fix it, I guess...

This is a good example of why I'm skeptical of the whole "cloud" concept. Bring back local storage!!

Same issues here in the Netherlands after having converted everything from me.com > iCloud.

Every few seconds asking for my password in the Mail applications on my MacBook and iBook.

It's a bit weird that both iPhone and iPad seems to work fine...?!

I realize the total size of yesterday's project for Apple, though I would be happy when it's up and running again!
