The bottom line is that you can't. Apple IDs can't be merged, or shared, in any way at present. There is a rumor that Apple is working on something, but it's not anything that you should rely on. Purchases are tied to a single Apple ID and they can't be transferred to another Apple ID either.
I should note that you don't need to share passwords. By simply creating separate iTunes libraries for each person, and authorizing the computer(s) for each account, you should all be able to use each others purchases and only be able to make purchases from your own account.

Then will the wireless syncing via iCloud not work for our scenerio?

You can add multiple iCloud accounts to each device, and each account has it's own sync settings. You do this under Settings / Mail, Contacts, Calendars / Accounts. You could try adding all the iCould accounts to each device, but each of you would then have access to each others iCloud email accounts.

You might want to consider to add all 3 Apple iCloud id's on your devices.
You can do this under: settings > mail,contacts,caalnders > accounts and then add all 3 iCloud accounts
