Oct 18, 2011 7:04 PM in response to judithfromwilmingtonby BFrench,I am having the same issue since upgrading to Lion. I can use Factime fine on my iPod but on my iMac the other person can not hear any audio from me. System Prefs show the internal mic is picking up sound. : (

Dec 20, 2012 10:50 AM in response to judithfromwilmingtonby chiflado8,I just talked to Apple support about this issue and it seems that Facetime 2.0 has a defect that prevents it from detecting the microphone when running on Mtn Lion. I have a mac mini and am using a logitech C920 camera with built in mics. The camera/mic works on Skype, iMovie, dictation, etc, but the mic doesn't work with facetime.
We were able to confirm that previous version of facetime works with this camera. The support specialist is notifying the Apple engineers to see if they know or can troubleshoot this issue.
I will post more info once they get back to me.

Does FaceTime detect your camera? When I launch FaceTime my C910 starts but it doesnt show up anything for FaceTime to work I have to open up PhotoBooth in the background.
Do you have this issue?

Dec 21, 2012 9:43 AM in response to Samistarby chiflado8,Hello Samistar,
Yes, when I start facetime it detects my camera and I can see myself on it. No issues with video, but facetime is not able to use the microphones in the camera.
