Q: Not getting iCloud verification email

I'm not getting verification email for setting up iCloud account.  No trouble using my appleID for iTunes or AppStore, and I double checked that I typed it correctly.  I have also checked junk mail folder and tried resending verification multiple times.  Nothing arrives in my mail box.

iCloud, Mac OS X (10.7.1), Actually 10.7.2, but wasn't listed

Just to nip this thread, someone solved it in another discussion:

I think I have sorted out the problem!!!

It turns out that I have 4 Apple IDs that I have collected over the years. 2 for iTunes accounts (one US and one UK) 1 for Mobile Me and 1 for use on this discussion forum.

At least 2 of these accounts had the same contact email and this happens to be the one I'm trying to verify with iCloud for iOS5. This seems to confuse Apple and rather than telling me that the email address is associated with 2 Apple IDs, it just fails to send the verification mail.

My advice would to use the "I've forgotten my User ID" to recover what IDs you have and verify your mail from in there. If your address is associated with more than 1 ID, you get told here. Sort out your addresses so that you only have 1 per Apple ID and go from there...

Same here. It seems as Apple does not have their **** together.

I called and they are telling me that the servers are all fine but they can't tell me what's going on with this..

Same problem for me, but 24 hrs. later, found 15 or so verifcation emails from Apple in my yahoo mail TRASH folder!  NO, not SPAM.. TRASH!  Have never had anything quite so bizzare happen in my many years of using yahoo mail.  SO weird.

    Hi,

My head is spinning from all of the apple id and password problems.  I'm finally to the point that on my macbook, my apple id and email address are the same!  That took a couple days because I also have an id to ask questions on this forum.  I don't really want my email showing up as my name!  I had to change this id to go with my daughter's old email and then remember the password- the one I've had to change about ten times since I started all of this because when I tried to use my security questions to get into my account, instead of another email from Apple and another new password, it told me my birthday and pet names were wrong.  Whatever.

How do I go forward?  I'm waiting for a verification email, for hours now.  On my iphone, all of the screen in icloud is grayed out so I can't choose anything.  The wheel just spins, saying "verifying email" (which it won't do) and then it kicks me out back to my home screen.  Honestly I think this is probably peanuts compared to what's going to happen when I actually get into icloud.  I'll probably have my kids' texts and contacts, etc.

Thank you if you can help me in any way.  Lord knows I don't want to go near an Apple store right now.  Oh- and I can't delete my "non verified nonactive icloud account".  It won't let me.  (the delete account button is the only one on my iphone that isn't grayed out yet it still just throws me back to the homepage when I select it.

    Hi,

What cflaig says is good....unless you have any account that you also put an alternate email address!!!!

I have also 4 IDs, but the primary emails are different to all of them. But I found out, that on one of the ID's I have chosen to have an alternate email address that happened to be the same as one of my primary email address. As soon as I changed that secondary email I got the verification from Apple.

So if you found out all your IDs, go to appleid.apple.com , sign in, change your alternate email, and be a happy Apple customer.....

I think I'll just give up and won't use Apple again.  I am already keeping all data with Google anyway.  That is working perfectly fine and without all these complications.
