Q: iCloud 1.8GB storage in use - except it's not

My iCloud control panel says only 3.19GB is available to me, yet I don't have anything stored in my iCloud at all. I used to have a backup (back in the iOS beta days) that was 1.8GB, but after I removed it I never regained my storage. I thought it was a beta thing, but with iOS 5 / iCloud now being officially launched, I still don't have my storage space back. Help!

That's super weird but I have an idea, under iCloud setting on your iDevice run a backup right now and then when it is done with the backup see if anything changes on your usage. I'm think it's just "frozen" and needs to be refreshed. Let me know if that works

Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage

What does it say is using your data?

I had the same problem only worse. I had one iPad backup = 37MB yet it said I had less than 1GB left (from the free quota of 5GB). I even had the email warning that my storage was nearly all used - but there was nothing else on there that was visible. I fixed it by deleting the backup and starting over. Now it's fine, though the cause remains a mystery.

You were right, it was just "frozen". I made a new backup and everything is working fine now .
