Hi Chris, you appear to have tested importing via CCK and playing video from your kodak playsport.

I'm looking to purchase a pocket camcorder and have my eye on a Kodak Playsport Zx5 which records video in MPEG-4, audio AAC @ the folllowing resolutions

    • 1080p - 1920 x 1080, 30 fps
    • 720p - 1280 x 720, 60 fps & 30 fps
    • WVGA - 848 x 480, 30 fps

An alternative camera I'm considering is the Panasonic DC1 which records in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 audio AAC @ the following resolutions

    • 1080p  - 1920 x 1080, 60 fps & 30 fps
    • 720p - 1280 x 720, 60 fps & 30fps
    • VGA - 640 x 480, 30 fps
    • qHD - 960 x 540, 30 fps

Do you know whether the IOS5 upgrade supports all video containers and resolutions up to 1080p, as in the above camera specs?

    Many thanks for any response.

The Playsport Zx5 uses the same video format as the Zx3 (what I have). It only has a few different features so it should work fine.

    Don't know if it'll work with 1080p @60 fps.

Many thanks for the reply Chris,I was hoping that was the case. Appears IOS5 has opened up a wider range of compatable video containers and resolutions.
