Oct 17, 2011 9:41 AM in response to Fengskyby Agentkurth,Me and all 4 people in my house have all versions of the Iphone 4S on verizon and none of us have received any dropped calls since friday. I would strongly suggest taking it to apple if you are seeing dropped calls 50% of the time while 2+ bars, could be a defective phone. If you have 2 or less bars then could be expected behavior.

Oct 18, 2011 12:22 AM in response to Fengskyby Lock1111,I'm having this problem for the first time tonight! talked to AT&T support for hour didn't solve the problem. First we did airplane mode, network reset, Then hard reset by holding the home button+off button, none of those worked so tech guy told me to bring back to best buy for simswap. I couldn't wait till tomorrow I went ahead and reset to factory setting. It worked couple times, then call failed again! Got ****** turn off wifi And it automatically go bAck to 3G. Then I charged the phone up for a while and stArt making calls again and it worked like normal. So I suspect it has to do something with wifi/3G at home. If I run into the problem again I will definitely exchange for new one. I'm kinda ****** now cuz I cannot show bestbuy guys the problem I run into tonight. Yes you are not the only one who have this problem. Apple and AT&T should resolve this problem since people have been experiencing this type of thing for last couple of year. Maybe i5 will not having the same issue :)

Oct 21, 2011 7:53 AM in response to Fengskyby AtlPeach,I've had the problem, too, but not with 50% of my calls. I've made about 6 calls where nothing happens on my end, but the callee's phone rings. The call looks like a regular call on the screen, but I don't hear the ring or the answer, and the person I'm calling doesn't hear anything after answering. I repeat the call and everything works fine on the second try.
I'm on Verizon, using a black 64GB 4S, and did not have this problem with my old phone.

Oct 22, 2011 2:18 AM in response to Fengskyby eberl1968,Same problem here in Austria, Vienna! I'm using a 32GB iPhone 4s. Many outgoing calls are looking regular, the connection seems to be established, the time counter is counting, but i cant hear anything. Incoming calls working well. The problem only occurs on outgoing calls! My wife's iPhone 4, also on iOS5 and the same provider doesn't have this problem.
