Whenever our iMac awakes from sleep, the mouse (cursor) does not respond. I have to unplug/plug to get it to work. Anybody with another solution.

Whenever something starts acting flaky the first thing to try is to Repair Disk Permissions and reboot. For a little more "industrial strength" action download the Universal Binary of Onyx (free) from MacUpdate or VersionTracker and run that (a good idea every 10-14 days anyway). If still no joy post back and ask for more help. My mouse under the SteerMouse driver wakes from sleep every time.

If it is still happening then you should probably give Apple a call. Since the computer is still new they should be helpful.

I am having the same issue. I have tried various wake approaches and changed the login required for wake; none of these work.

I would try the SteerMouse Universal Binary driver available here: http://plentycom.jp/en/steermouse/

There is a 15 day free trial; my Mighty Mouse and a Bluetake Bluetooth mouse I use sometimes both wake from sleep flawlessly using this driver, which offers more adjustment and greater functionality than the stock Apple driver as well.

Just wanted to say I'm having the same problem with my iMac (E06). I also have it plugged into the keyboard. I'll try plugging into the main port on the back of the machine and see if that works. Sort of a bummer, though.

I removed the mouse from the USB port on the keyboard and plugged into the USB port back the Imac. The mouse is working well without any problem. But sometimes, keyboard doesn't awake and i need to unplug/plug it.
The apple center say it may be a problem of keyboard and give me a new one. I will test it tonight.
(Sorry for the english, i'm french)

My apple center give me a new keyboard and all works without any problem since six hours !
Some keyboards have a problem on their usb port.
Changing the keyboard is the soluce !
The problem was very simple, and we searched things too complicate.
Now my imac intel works very well and quickly !
You just have to change your keyboard...
