Why?First it decreases your battery life and Adobe Flash Player is mostly used for Computers, not Tablet-Computers and finger prints.

If people are happy with websites that have banners across them disabling functionality and downgrading the surfing experience - and then have this for every one of the many millions of iPads sold - because two corporates are bickering.... then that's fine so long as the Earth is flat.

    ???
If they are happy with it then they are happy with it.

Whether the earth is flat or not is completely irellevant.

And millions and millions of people are satisfied enough (with having no Flash) that iOS devices are still being sold in record numbers.

I truly see why you and others won't come back to this site. It is a crying shame when not everyone using an IPad is not an expert, asks for help and only finds smart *****. If someone asks for help, think as if it were your mother using this device for the first time. Would you be a wise cracking smart *** then? It is just as easy to tell someone what it is they want to know and THEN tell them where they can find additional information as it is to act like an arrogant smart ***! This site truly makes me sorry I bought an Apple product! I hope all you smart ***** on this site are happy and proud of yourselves!

Flash is or available for iOS devices. Apple doesn't want it and Adobe couldn't make it.

Just to wrap this up, Adobe is killing development of Flash for all mobile devices:

Adobe Kills Flash Development for Mobile, Eliminates 750 Jobs

Adobe announced yesterday that it is abandoning development of Flash on mobile devices, essentially ceding the standards war over content for mobile platforms to HTML5. At the same time, the company announced a restructuring that will eliminate 750 jobs, mostly in North America and Europe.

That does not mean Flash goes away any time soon on the desktop, even as the company accelerates its work on HTML5. "We are already working on Flash Player 12 and a new round of exciting features," wrote Adobe VP and General Manager of Interactive Development Danny Winokur in a blog entry posted at blogs.adobe.com this morning. "We will continue to leverage our experience with Flash to accelerate our work with the W3C and WebKit to bring similar capabilities to HTML5 as quickly as possible, just as we have done with CSS Shaders. And we will design new features in Flash for a smooth transition to HTML5 as the standards evolve so developers can confidently invest knowing their skills will continue to be leveraged."

Yep, just add to the above post..

Adobe says that now its not going away for desktops, but in reality, how do we know?

I mean, Adobe was teeth and nail trying to come up with good reasons while Steve Jobs was at Apple, valid points of NOT putting Flash on IOS. Well.. look what happened,.  is this a coninsidence ?? Maybe, Maybe not. But whichever way you look, Adobe is the one, the one company that develops Flash is the same that aknowledges its bad for mobile devoces, something they previously tried to fight against.

Time will tell.... but I would bet HTML 5 will be the future...  This is ony the beginning.
