No. The only effective solution is to not use the Lion enabled (with auto save) version on keynote. So either don't upgrade after installing Lion or downgrade to version 5.05. This is the only choice until there is another update of keynote.

NO, NO and big NO. Emphatic NO. Apple's supposed fix of a momentary pause is a joke. I now need to revert, AGAIN, to the previous version of iwork. I wish I hadn't been so optimistic. I made a small change to a big keynote file (4 gigs or so, lots of movies) and sure enough, keynote desperately began to version. 3 minutes later, the screen came back to normal. It's still hitting the disk hard trying to make a copy. Steer clear....
