Yup. Confirmed. Bought this phone just for that feature. The sales guy "Must have forgotten" to tell me. Bend over Canada, shafted again. We loose on Netflix, lots of internet programming that we can't watch, and now SIRI on my 4S. Way to go!!!!!!!! (Still proud to be a Canadian though! haha)

A little research on the apple.ca website shows no mention of SIRI at this time. In the US, SIRI is still in beta mode. I'm sure Canada will get SIRI, as will the UK, neither of which have access to it yet.

Siri is available in the UK! and works fine, a bit of research would have stopped you posting an incorrect response.
When people see a product advertised with a main feature as a selling point, people dont go looking on websites to see if the feature is available, when all they have seen is that it is!

Hi DavidK2010, my daughter has her iPhone4S and loves Siri I know something never worked, think it was maybe the mapping side of it and business search or something... but hey she loves it.
I'm just waiting for mine to arrive once apple post it!
See this thread... https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3372464?start=0&tstart=0

Yes its the location search that doesnt work properly but there is a work around using google, the point I was making was that Siri is available in the uk , the longer you spend on these forums you will understand my previous post.
A friend of mine is also waiting to receive one from Apple, it seems a bit weird that you can get them from the Networks quicker than you can get them from Apple he was told 30 days.

Siri does work in Canada . Just go to settings >location services > scroll down to Siri and turn it on . Now it all works good :-)

It "works", but is not 100% functional. For example, you can tell Siri "Set an alarm for 6am" and it will... but if you ask it "Where is a good sushi place near here?" it will respond "I'm sorry, I don't have restaurant information for Canada". It also will not take location information either... ie, "Show me how to drive to the Pine View mall"... results in "I don't have location information for Canada".
Will it ever come? Who knows... it depends on where Apple is sourcing their location and service data... For example... Garmin GPS does not include speed limit information for Canada... but does for the US... why? Who knows...
