iPhone 4S - Outgoing call no audio

I am having obviously the same issue but i read that you said it fixed itself with a hard reset. How do I perform a hard rest on my phone?

I noticed that if I put the phone up to my ear while still trying to connect, I have no audio. But if I wait until the timer starts to put the phone up to my ear, then the audio is fine.

How are you leaving feedback?

32Gb 4S, same problem

Apple will just deny it or say it is isolated to a few users or the carrier.

I have two iphone 4Ss. One has this problem and one does not.

I've had the same intermittent problem - when I reboot the phone it seems to go away. Smells like a software isse.

I went to the Apple Store and gave them the Apple Support case ID. They replaced it on the spot, no questions asked. So far I have made 5 calls and outgoing calls are working fine.

i agree this is a hardware issue. i bought two 64GB iphone 4s.

one has problem and the one is doing ok so far.

Restore setup as new, if that doesn't fix it then yes it is a hardware issue not software issue simple as that.....

I went through 3 iPhone 4Ss. So far 2 out of 3 had a yellow tinted display and 2 out of 3 had the no audio on calls issue. Makes you wonder how many iPhones out there are not defective in some way.

i went to the apple store today and i was informed by the

tech support that the problem was on the earpiece receiver.

i hope he was right on this.
