Q: Update to Pro-App 2010-2 fails

I'm trying to update the Final Cut Studio version I bought earlier this year so that Compressor and Qmaster are the exact same version (3.5.3).  I downloaded and executed the below link to Pro Applications Update 2010-2 and received a confirmation that the update was successfull.  When I reboot and open my applications; however, they show that they are still at their old release levels Compressor=3.5 and Qmaster=3.5.2.  What can I do to update my software to comatible release levels?

Thanks,

John

Here are the updates I found that bracket 2010-2:

    Pro App 2010-01

    Pro Kit 5.1

    Pro App 2010-02

    Pro kit 6..0.1

    Pro  kit 7.0

Check to see whether you're missing any.

    Hi Russ,

Thanks for weighing in.  Are you suggesting I can't jump to 2010-2 without installing each incremental update?  I can't find some of the updates you list above.  When I tried to install 6.0.1, Pro Kit 7.0 was downloaded.  When I tried to install it, I received the error message:  "This update does not need to be installed.  a newer version of this software is already installed."  Nonetheless, when I launch compressor or qmaster, they show me the same versions I've had all along.  Do you have any further hints?

    Thanks,

    John

Why not simply use the Software Update function under the Apple logo at top left of your screen?

It will also find FCS updates. There may be something else which you need to update to qualify for others.

    Hi Nick,

Software Update didn't mention anything new for FCS; however, I executed all of the updates and then tried the 2010-2 update again.  Under Software Update, I can see that 2010-2 has been installed.  Do I perhaps have to configure the applications to go to the later release?  The FCS applications remain at their original release levels.  Any other ideas?

    Thanks,

    John
