Nov 1, 2011 3:46 AM in response to andrewisangryatappleby flifrommiddlesbrough,I think I have the same issue. I have a clean X 10.6.8 build with all updates on but when I click the install to Lion from the App Stroe app it looks to be working but fails at 2.14GB every time. I have deleted the manifest.plist from /user/library/application support/appstore rebooted then tryed to install again but fails at 2.14GB.
Can i download OS x Lion from some where else and creat a DVD to install fresh lion might be easyer than fixing this issue?
Thanks

Nov 1, 2011 4:43 AM in response to shldr2thewheelby flifrommiddlesbrough,I have sir yes I had Lion insalled when it first came out I just wanted a new fresh build so i formatted it installed 10.6 done all updates then tried to download Lion from the App Store and it fail at 2.14GB every time. I'm thinking is it currupt file at Apple's end (but very much doubt as there would be post all over the place regarding it) or the I have installed 10.6 wrong and it will not download a file bigger than 2.14GB.
I might try and find the torrent of the dmg file and create a Lion DVD that way it's just a ball ach.
Thanks again for your reply

Jan 11, 2012 6:05 AM in response to nandeeswarby Bill Welch,Failing a download at 2.14GB file sounds like a 32-bit problem.
Signed 32-bit numbers can only hold +/-2.14GB (-2,147,483,648 to +2,147,483,647)
Maybe you are booted in 32-bit mode?
If so, then maybe the problem will go away if you reboot in 64-bit mode:

Hope this helps.
