Different operating systems. Your iMac runs OS X and the iWork
applications you have on your iMac are written for OS X. On your
iDevice, the operating system is iOS and you would need a version
of the apps written for that. If you are not planninig to use the apps
on your iDevice (iPhone, iPad, some iPods), you do not need to
buy them. Having the apps on your iDevices provides instant
syncing of documents across the iDevices using iCloud. iCloud
does not provide Google App-like operation if that is what you are
seeking. If this does not answer your question, perhaps someone
else will chime in.

If you do Not Buy These Apps you can't use Office file Upload in www.icloud.com . It is a Feature of iOS , Not OS X. That's why.

Thanks, I just need to recognize that these are two different systems before I find a need to ask such basic questions. Keep up the good work.
