    Flattering although I can't take all the credit! That website I linked to and the guy who brought it to my attention on macrumors are the real heros.

     

    Glad this is solved though, now to get the word out there!

     

    P.S. The iCard would be a nice touch though haha

    Was having the exact same info. The fix described did not work for me.  I ended up figuring mine out.  I was using paypal under my itunes account. Once I updated my itunes account to use a credit card it allowed me to place the order.

    I found there's lots of glichtes and small stuff that I'd consider bugs less in iOS but more in Lion. I think Apple hasn't been too much about "it just works" recently.

    Have tried swapping regional settings to no avail. When trying to order the card I get a request for CVV. As I exclusively use gift cards, which has worked perfectly up until now for both music, shows and apps, the CVV is not applicable.

    How can I pay the wanted cards with the credit from the iTunes gift cards???

    Hey,

     

    I know this issue might be resolved for the few--but I figured I would offer my 'Two Cents' as I've just fixed my problem.

     

    The way I fixed it was I had to go into the Settings -> Store -> Apple ID (Sign In)

     

    Then I had to edit my billing address and change "Drive" to "Dr."

     

    For some it might be "Avenue" to "Ave."

     

    And so on...

    Entering the exact same expeditor address as the address in my itunes account doesn't solve the issue. I just cannot finalize the payment authorization although my Mastercard works fine for any content purchase from the itunes store. The error message says "Order cancelled. There was a problem with your order". I'm currently in Hong Kong but I use the German itunes store. I buy all sorts of titles frequently, I never encountered any issue. Apple has the reputation of being quite critical about apps releases, maybe they should be more critical about their own apps.

    Thank you so much!! This worked in Germany too, changed my regional format from united states to Germany and saw the terms and conditions for the first time and could finally buy a card. Tried to solve this problem for the last 4 weeks.. Awesome job!!

    Thanks very much.. I changed my regional settings to Canada .. instead of US.. (i'm in Canada) and it worked great.

    Worked for me too! Canadian card, but region had been set to U.S.

     

    This is a mistake in the app that would be marked down by any T.A. in the 1st or 2nd year of a Computer Science program. Needs to be fixed.

    I have tried doing all of the above suggestions but I'm still getting an error when trying to check out and it's canceling my order. Guess I will just have to wait and see if Apple fixes it some other way. This is really crappy.

    Im have the same issue in Ireland.

     

    I bought a card 2 weeks ago with no drama.  Now I cant check out, I have tried changing the region setting, and double checking all address details etc. But no luck it wont check out.

    I have the same issue here in Belgium

     

    I'm trying to checkout and the app tells me the same thing that all the other people are getting. I triple checked my billing information and everything, including the regional settings. Everything is as it should be but I still get that error message. Maybe I'm still getting these bugs because I only use gift cards ? But even then why wouldn't it work with gift cards too ?

     

    It's funny how things are going nowadays, a lot of people got this error and still no word from apple finding us a solution for this bug. I always thought that apple cares about his customers but apparently they're lacking that a lot lately.

    Just to update you all, I posted here last night, see 2 posts above. I tried regional settings, triple checked my iTunes account info matched on both iTunes and iOS devices, address details etc, each time I got, the error, iTunes needs more information....  all my Christmas cards needed to go... so I emailed Mr Tim Cook last night explaining the situation and asking for a fix.  I changed nothing on my iOS or desk top devices since, yet today when I tried again to check out all my cards they complete fine.......I didn't get a reply to my CEO email but without me doing anything new, something changed on the other side!

     

    I have recieved all my confirmation emails to confirm the cards are in progress.  Is it working now for anyone else?

    Worked for me as well.  Odd.  They have my email address many times over, but not in that one persnickety place, I guess.  What a useless, un-specific, error message.
