Yes I found a solution. The problem comes from a conflict of Apple ID's. In order to fix the problem you need to delete your iCloud account on your iPhone, and rather than using the .me apple ID for your iCloud account you need to use any exisiting other one you have registered.
For example I have a .mac, .me and personal email (for itunes purcahses) all registered as apple ID's on my account. What I did was sign in to iCloud on my iPhone using my .mac ID rather than the .me ID and this solved the problem.

Thanks. I unchecked the SSL option inside of the advance tab in mail. Its working now.
