Nov 6, 2011 4:19 AM in response to lauren_gibbby bobbyco57,★HelpfulTrue story, I was having this kind of problem and realized I had the power adapter plugged into an outlet that went on/off when flipping the wall switch. What can I say...
Anyway, assuming that's not what's wrong probably a visit to the Genus Bar is in order.
Does it seem like the magnet connector is making a solid connection?

Jul 14, 2016 7:48 PM in response to bobbyco57by Ramón G Castañeda,I've been having this issue with one and the same MacBook Air (original model) and two different chargers.
The chargers are not plugged into a switched outlet.
First, the original charger that came with the unit when brand new, and which had been working flawlessly for years, just stopped working.
A brand new replacement charger worked for half a day, then went dead as well.
MY QUESTION: Can a suddenly defective battery be frying the chargers? If that is a possibility, I might try installing a new battery. However, the battery was at 100% and 98% respectively when each of the chargers stopped working.
Thanks in advance.
