Nov 7, 2011 5:29 AM in response to OberMuftiby OberMufti,Another observation I made. If I tip with my finger on the mic (on the bottom left) I can hear the tipping, but no voice. Looks like the noise cancellation is running wild and turned into a "voice cancellation". Apple! Help please!

Nov 7, 2011 7:45 AM in response to LJQMacProby Woolybugger,New at&t 4s with the same issue. I can hang up and call right back and the person can hear me.
Apple software issue, I hope! I haven't tried the headset. Not very practical for me.

Dec 4, 2011 2:36 AM in response to LJQMacProby Woolybugger,I am using the rim protector my wife got with her iPhone 4 on my 4S and it is better and happens less often. It must be something with the software. It appears this affects both 4 versions.

Dec 9, 2011 7:57 AM in response to LJQMacProby BKBDaytonOH,Here's the problem I faced. I have a iPhone 4 with AT&T. I have the latest iOS 5.0.1. When on a voice call the other party was unable to hear my voice. The other party couldn't hear me even if I used the white ear buds that came with the phone or even on speaker phone. All other features of the phone worked. I could even Facetime, record voice memos and use Voice Control. So I knew it wasn't a hardware problem. AT&T installed a new SIM card. Apple had me reset everthing and even do a restore. I even went to an Apple store and an Apple Genius couldn't figure out why only phone calls didn't work. He ran a diagnostics on the phone and everything checked out. His only option was to offer to sell me a replacement phone for $149, since mine was out of warranty. So today I continued my search for an answer and came to this page and noticed the little green checkmark under the "More like This" section for "Re: iOS 5 Bluetooth Bug". So I thought to myself, if theres a connection on this page, maybe it is my problem. It was worth a shot at least. So I turned Bluetooth off on my phone and now the other party can again hear my voice again on phone calls. All this and I resolved my own problem and didn't have to spend $149. CRAZY!

Dec 9, 2011 9:17 AM in response to BKBDaytonOHby BKBDaytonOH,Update: I went to do a restore and my phone stopped working again. But I tapped the phone on my knee (I was a little upset) and I heard something on the other phone. So it is working again. Not sure if the Bluetooth setting actually did anything. But my anger sure did.

Mar 14, 2012 10:13 AM in response to LJQMacProby LCortes,I have recently been experiencing the same problem for the past two days. I just ordered a new phone this morning since I can no longer able to go without having a phone. I was able to turn off the bluetooth on the phone and "IT WOKRED" It actually was a fix. Apple should really be aware of this problem and come up with a fix, and I found it reallt weird that they are not able to see what the problem is when they runa diagnostic test. Thank you BKBDaytonOH helped and surely saved me some money!
