You're not the only one wanting to know! I've bought the expanded DSOTM from iTunes and have been most impressed, even liking the iTunes LP content. The promise of early access to expanded versions of Wish & The Wall (together with an improved master of Saucerful relative to prior CD issues) is very tempting, but like yourself I'm wary of the two expanded versions not actually being included. Have you contacted iTunes Store support at all?
The contents of the box are showing as being identical between the UK and US stores, the blurb saying expanded versions and the previewable contents showing the basic Discovery remastered tracks only.

I have, just waiting for an answer. I figure it's always good to see if anyone else is having the same issues or concerns.
You won't be disappointed by Saucerful, it's stunning. It sounds so much cleaner, but has lost nothing.

I've always found the support guys to be very helpful, sorted out an issue with missing video in the last round of Queen remasters iTunes LPs missing which precluded the album being bought as a whole. And there goes at least £7.99 on Saucerful if not the entire boxset. Now if they could just include the mono Piper as well...
Look forward on hearing whatever response you get.

iTunes support just got back in touch. The extended editions of DSOTM, Wish, and the Wall are not part of the package (which is apparently Pink Floyd/EMI's decision). The description of the box set on iTunes now just mentions the standard remastered albums. iTunes store support made it right with me, and I am a very happy customer.

I am glad to see a post from some people who have actually purchased this. I had a question I was hoping someone could answer. Does each album have the artwork for each individual album and are all the tags set to reflect the albums as individuals, or is the artwork the standard boxset artwork you see in iTunes with the tags showing as say Discovery Box Set: Disc 1 etc.
I hope I am being clear. I am strongly considering purchasing this because of the extra iTunes stuff, but I am VERY precise and picky about how my music is tagged and I don't want to screw up the iTunes LP content by needing to re-tag it.
Thanks in advance.

The short answer is no, the individual files have the purple Discovery Box art rather than the individual album covers themselves.I downloaded five of the tracks from the set; Set the Controls (Saucerful), Cymbaline (More), If (AHM), Wots The Deal (Obscured) and High Hopes (TDB) - all have the purple box set art. I'd downloaded the tracks to compare the mastering to the Oh By The Way CD set
The tagging is as follows (Set The Controls from Saucerful as the example):
Name: Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
Artist: Pink Floyd
Album Artist: Pink Floyd
Album: A Saucerful Of Secrets (Remastered)
Grouping: A Saucerful Of Secrets (Remastered)
Sort Album: Saucerful Of Secrets (Remastered)
Composer: Roger Waters
Track number: 3 of 7
Disc number: 2 of 15
I suspect the iTunes LPs themselves contain the orginal album art, and the album art of the booklets of the individual physical CDs.

Sorry to hear the extended sets of DSOTM, WYWH & The Wall aren't included but good that iTunes/Apple made good on the error for you. I'd noticed that the description of the contents for the box set had been corrected.

Thanks for the answer. That is quite helpful and should be easily corrected. I should be able to get the artwork in there that I want without messing up the iTunes LP's at all.
Thanks for the help. It's much appreciated.

Glad to be of assistance. Last word on the matter; the "Mastered for iTunes" legend in the description of the box set and the individual albums translates in this case to squashed dynamics (Nick's drums at the beginning of Set the Controls all being of uniform volume/loudness for example) - the mastering is different to the physical CDs. If this sounds like it might be of concern, try buying a single track you're familiar with first and see how it sounds to you. The iTunes Complete My Album feature means the cost of the track is subtracted from the album cost if/when you buy it.

Download only, nothing physical ships.
The digital box set includes:
All of the music from the box set (14 albums / 16 CDs worth).
An iTunes LP for each individual album, replicating the artwork, lyrics and credits of the booklet that ships with the individual CD albums.
A boxset iTunes LP with links to the individual iTunes LPs for each album, and also a full replica of the artwork book that ships with the physical Discover boxset.

Does anyone know why did I download this and the albums are not in order?
It happened the same thing when I got the Beatles box set. they are not in a box set but rather all over the place and not even in year issued order, what gives?

I just bought the three extended Pink Floyd albums and I only have another 11 to go. My question is this --- should I purchase the other 11 remastered iTunes Pink Floyd CDs for $98 or the Discovery Set for $99 (why they are on sale)? From what I can tell, they are basically the same at this point except for the artwork will be the original artwork on the individual CDs (which is a bonus for me). Am I missing anything else though?
