Q: Compressor eating up my Hard Drive!!!

Why does my finder show avaiable space on my MacPro 8 core internal hardrive going down rapidly as compressor transcodes files onto an external drive?  Please help!!!

    When you use QMASTER and enable multiple cores in Compressor, then those cores store the compression they are doing on the hard drive...temporarily.  They then join all the pieces when they are done.  But, if you want to enable QMASTER, know that you need a good bit of internal hard drive space to help it.

    Wow.  That is really interersting.  I had no idea.  Cool, I guess.  It was just freaking me out seeing the numbers drop.  Thanks!
