Hi all - got my replacement 4s on Weds and the battery life is much better - lasts all day now and still has 40-50% before I go to bed.

Men, I solved all my battery problems. As I said in a previous post in this topic, my iPhone was draining the battery even if the phone was in standby. Changing the SIM solved my problems. You can find the full story (I've also received calls from an Apple's team!) in a post that I just published in my blog.

I hope this can solve the problem for at least some of you.

Hi machan, I'm too from SL. Do you have any problems with Caller ID? My contacts are not recognized when i'm getting a call or SMS. Didn't have this kind of a problem with 3GS.

yeah, I have the phone since 3 days and have to charge it 2 to 3 times a day, that cant be normal! And a 30% loss over night while sleeping cant be right.. so there is a new Version of the iphone that I could return it and get a new one?

    iPhone 4s - 32Gb - Black - Serial:C39GJQJ9DTD7 - Orange UK

Ok I have done the wipes, restored from new, 3 x full battery drains etc, I have made a 1 min phone call and only surfed on WiFi, used 3 apps and text the only phone call was to my answerphone. I am a new iPhone user as I moved from a Windows phone so I have very few apps on here.

    These results are:

    Bluetooth - off

Brightness - not on auto and about 30-40%

iCloud - off (find my iPhone is on)

    Sync to iTunes - off

    Network mobile data - off

Siri rise to talk - off

Mail is all manual Push and Fetch - off

I have just asked for a new sim card so will test the difference.

    My results:

Now all you apple persons that know the product well, is it anywhere near spec? I should get around 9 hours WiFi with 3G on etc? but to get anywhere near this its all off!

Is this a bug or hardware here?

I am not a moaner and would like to help get to the bottom of this?

    Many thanks

Machang.... Remove first digit 0 from the number list...

Say the number is 0712**** ..... this should be put down as 712**** and the name applicable to the no would be dispalyed...

Its easy to edit this on I cloud...

Do all the changes on the icloud and the nos on your phone would be immidiatly updated...

I have also added the same no with a +94 712**** as an additional no... so that its easy to text or call when you are overseas...

    Hope this works for you....

So you got a new phone that quick, wow that is service. Setup the phone as you normally would. Make sure to let the device stand for 24 hours. Do not use your old SIM card, we replace them whenever we get a new phone, call your carrier for that.

Done the survery. And the phone was returned. Wait a while for a new one

Wow, six days ago you stated having the same problem. You did the update 6 days ago, so I may be confused.

Your post and post at particular sites would not be misleading or false?

You may want to update to version 5.0.1 as well, unsure of the problems you state.

5.0.2 has not been pre-released and APPLE never would release information about pending updates.
