Q: Can't find Keynote folder in library

I have update Mac Pro to OS Lion and also purchase the Keynote 09 from Apps store.

Everything was fine and I manage to create a new themes for the presentation.

When I try to search on Finder for the themes folder I cound not find it.

Searching this forum points to themes in - User HD/Library/Application Support/iWork/Keynotes/Templates.

I could not find iwork or keynote folder anywhere in my library.

Saving to a theme from keynote indicate that the library is in iwork/keynotes/templates.

Very strange. Anyone can help

Mac Pro 15", Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Pages & Numbers use templates, but Keynote uses themes.  You have the right path, but it should end in "Themes", not "Templates".  There's also a theme folder in a similar path off your user Library folder, which is where themes saved from Keynote are stored. Unfortunately that folder is hidden by default in Lion. To get to it, type Shift-Command-G in any Finder window & type "~/Library", then you can navigate down to the Themes folder

Dear Shane and/or others who can solve my problem,

I have the similar problem, only... Shift-Command-G does not solve the problem. I just don't find the Themes folder (or any Keynote folder for that matter). The only folders I get (in application support - iWork after the command) are Content and Frameworks. And my self created Keynote folder, with a themes folder and my newly created theme. But it won't show in the Keynote themes finder and (so) I cant select it as my default theme.

Do you have any other suggestions? I have a relatively new iMac that was configurerd according to my private MacbookPro by a professional (who is unavailable off course...).

    Thank you so much!

    Kind regards,

    Kaatje

Dear Kaatje, being that your question is from 4 years ago, you may not require an answer anymore, but I had that same question today, and I found the answer on this post from Stack Exchange, and I share it here for the benefit of those who may find this discussion thread.

Basically the location of the folder has changed, it can now be found at:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iWork.Keynote/Data/Library/Application Support/User Templates/

You may use Shane’s method of typing Command-Shift-G on the Finder and paste the above address to get to your saved/custom Keynote Themes folder.

    Good luck!
