Q: iPhone 4S is loosing connection with Carrier after iOS5 update

Same Problem in Luxembourg with LuxGSM after iOS 5.0.1 update.

Had the same problem but after many attams i'm able to again had my iPhone 3GS in working condition. I lost my last 2 days dealing with it. Now everything back to normal.

Did Apple show any solution?

Because i have a big and expensive itouch now, and the connection is loosing each 4 hours...

I tryed to contact apple support in Brazil, but they doesn't exist.

I just got a call from Luxgsm, my provider here in Luxembourg.

They told me that starting this afternoon, they will replace SIM cards with some that will work on iPhones with 5.0.1.

They told me it was because of a security check the old SIMs do incorrectly using 5.0.1

I suppose that other operators around the world will receive instructions directly from Apple now how to solve the problems customers have.

Luxgsm has been working with Apple to solve this problem.

I still wonder why they keeo problems like this so secret. They should communicate more so that people know what is happening!

i have the same promblems from greece after update my 4s to 5.0.1

i cant make or receive calls or txts.we need 5.0.2 to play with all sim cards ..aple guy sed nothing they can do right and he sugested i jailbrake so i get back to 5.0 but this will avoid garanty...i didnt pay all this money for this promblems.

APPLE GIVE US THE 5.0.2  YESTERDAY

In Romania - Cosmote nearly the same problem.

On a randomly base call do not reach destination, I could not be reached, network loss.

Changing the SIM did not solve the problem!

Apple what are you doing?

I have the same problems in Brazil (TIM).

I am having the same issue with Meteor in Ireland - I can be located outside in the city with great reception and all of a suddent the signal drops when I try to make a call or send a text

Tengo el mismo problema en España con Vodafone. Desde que actualice a ios 5.0.1 cada 4/5 minutos pierde cobertura de voz y de datos y aparece buscando durante 10 seg y vuelve a conectarse. Así se cortan las llamadas cada 4/5 minutos. Espero q Apple lo solucione con 5.0.2.

Rafanunix, também tava com problema na Tim, troquei pelo Micro SIM mais novo que existia e não resolveu. Segui um conselho de um cara que postou em um desses tópicos aqui, mudei pra um SIM normal, recortei com uma tesoura e tá funcionando que é uma beleza. Tenta aí que deve dar certo.

I got my problem solved. Changed my Micro-SIM for a regular SIM and hand-cutted it, works perfectly now. Hope it helps.

We had the same problem in Luxembourg with LuxGSM. After new ordered SIM Cards, problem solved !

Same Problem whit iPhone 4.

My iPhone after update ios 5.0.1 dont call  with TIM, OI, CLARO ( Brazilian Carriers ), and if I restore, display the unlock screnn. but, dont work on iPhone.

with TIM carrier, i Can use 3G, use msn, twitter, voip, but is only. Cant recive and call.

Hi. I'm from Indonesia, on XL network, using 4S. Was working fine on 5.0 and went totally wrong after upgrading to 5.0.1. I upgraded my sim card from the cut one to the microsim. It doesnt solve the problem.

Unfortunately, 4S has not been officially launched here in Indonesia. So the operator have no clue about this problem. The only solution for me is to switch provider (my friend 4S' working fine on Telkomsel & 5.0.1) or wait for a firmware update. I'm hoping for the second solution.. for apple to fix this problem soon
