I have a pair of earbuds (the ones with the microphone and volume adjuster on the cord) that came with my iPhone 4 and today the left earbud stops working. At first the sound was cutting in and out, but then the sound from that earbud just completely stopped. I've tried the phone with other headphones and it's not a jack problem. They work perfectly with it. However, I would like to fix these because of the mic problem,so if someone could tell me how, that would be great! Thanks!

I would either call AppleCare or go to an Apple Store so they can get those replaced for you since any of the accessories that come with the iPhone are covered under its 1 year Limited Hardware Warranty.

Same thing's happened to me twice. The volume on the left bud failed so I bought a new pair of earbuds from the Apple store this summer, and now the left bud volume on these is failing. Curious to see if I could get them replaced gratis, I called Apple and they told me that since my iPhone 4 is out of warranty I'm out of luck.
