Hi,
I was upgraded my iMac from Leopard (10.5) to Snow Leopard (10.6.3), and can use almost a year. But 2 months ago, It was freezed and can't boot. I resolve this problem by reinstall Snow Leopard again, It can boot. And I use Apple Hardware Test v.3A152 to run test and It's alert hardware test error code : 4HDD/11/40000000 : SATA (0,0). I call to Maccenter, he suggested to renew and install the new OS. I do follow by:
1) Boot disc1 and verify disk, it have an error and then I had to repaired and verify again, it was OK.
2) I install Leopard, but it's fail to install
3) And I try to install Snow Leopard, it's fail too.
4) I delete and format iMac disk by disc1 and install, it's fail again.
5) Then I go to my shop to renew it, he can install OS by his own harddisk, Successfully to install .
6) I run Hardware test again the error code still alert! the same : Alert! Apple Hardware Test has detected an error 4HDD/11/40000000 : SATA (0,0).
What's the code mean? And how should I do to resolve it? Because I'm not sure, for my data.
