Nov 17, 2011 12:48 AM in response to Christopher Goldingby kingsrule5,I had the same problem with some of my stuff. Really not happy about it as like you i find the censoring more jarring than what is censored.

Nov 17, 2011 3:12 PM in response to Christopher Goldingby Datapotomus,Yeah the even wierder thing is it is per song. Some of the songs that I have matched even within the same album have this issue. Some will be explict, others will not.

Nov 17, 2011 4:16 PM in response to ohneSchattenby Mike Connelly,It's not intentional censorship, the matching software just can't get it right yet. The exact same thing is happening with live/studio versions, remixes, etc.

Nov 19, 2011 4:55 PM in response to Christopher Goldingby jmdebany,This is happening to me as well. With one album, half the songs are the censored verison, where the other half is not. I agree that it is probably a problem with the match system not knowing which to reference. Hope it gets fixed soon--it's pretty annoying.

Nov 22, 2011 1:52 PM in response to Christopher Goldingby normanfromrochester,Mine too. Blink-182 also.
Hope they fix to and as they find these do a push to fix it.
Anyone know a way to mark and force your version of a song up tot he cloud?

Nov 22, 2011 5:15 PM in response to Christopher Goldingby thebman22,This really *****. Has anyone come up with a work around? Is there a way to force a rescan of a specific song? It doesn't make a lot of sense. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Nov 23, 2011 5:48 AM in response to thebman22by Datapotomus,If we are talking mp3s you should be able to change the mp3 metadata slightly to something that iTunes won't match. The only problem with this, is you are going to end up with songs that have to have undesired characters in them.

Nov 23, 2011 5:57 AM in response to Datapotomusby jmdebany,For me it's Blink-182, but not the whole album... strange. I did change my metadata (genre and album artist) but the Match still thinks some of the tracks are censored.
-
Nov 23, 2011 7:42 AM in response to Datapotomusby Mike Connelly,It doesn't look like Match looks at metadata at all, just the waveform. And it makes sense that a difference as slight as a few deleted or changed lyrics would be too subtle for the software to figure out. I have yet to see anyone get a different Match result from changing tags.

Dec 14, 2011 11:14 AM in response to Christopher Goldingby DDONOVAN,I'm having this exact same issue. this is really frustrating. There should be away to just ask for all your music to be explicit or clean. or choose for each track

Dec 16, 2011 11:27 AM in response to Christopher Goldingby travelinmax,Me too, I've noticed a lot of my Drake songs are cleaned
And I'm surely not going through my other 4800+ songs to see what it messed up
-
Dec 17, 2011 8:49 AM in response to travelinmaxby bruistopher,Yes. Me too! Some it my Drake songs are clean now. And I bought explicit CD's and imported them into iTunes. It's very frustrating when your in the mood listening and then a edit comes. Apple needs to fix this ASAP. Apparently the software doesnt or can't tell if you have a explicit or edited version of the song so it randomly matches either a explicit or edited. One song was edited for awhile but after the recent iTunes update (10.5.2) it was explicit.
I'm confused. I love iTunes Match because I don't have to have all my music stored on my phone but it's really aggravating that this explicit/edited bug hasn't been fixed!

Dec 20, 2011 6:07 AM in response to bruistopherby MjaMes1409,This is a freakin nightmare. Where is my fix for this and reassurance my music isnt going to be child proofed!??!
Also where is this Battery fix for my iPhone? Apple what are you doing?
Does anyone know of a way to delete all music directly from iphone and redownload to make sure its bringing down the uncensored?
Now I need a way to determine which of my songs have been replaced on my desktops with crappy edited versions. I have 70 GIGS in the cloud!!!!!!!
Not happy about this one bit.
