    I can't type anything in after putting my details in in the express lane! Oh and it looks like Facebook is no longer compatible with first gen, along with loads others I've paid for....how to marginalize people Apple!

    Had any the opportunity to check if this affects also to the devices with iOS4.2; or only devices with iOS3.1.x, or below?

    In Express Lane

     

    1) Open Link

     

    2) Choose Product

    (for iPod touch) iPod -> iPod touch -> iTunes Store, App Store or iBookstore

    (for iPhone) iPhone -> iTunes Store, App Store or iBookstore

     

    3) Choose Issue Description: "My topic is not listed" and then type unable to use iTunes Store or App Store"

    then fill in the details. You may leave Item title and Order number empty.

     

    4) Fill in your information and then write a description of your problem with as much details as you can, to help apple solve the problem.

     

    5) Press "Send"

    Hello everyone.. I DID get a response from the express lane complaint I sent.  The rep told me to go to "settings", "general" and "restrictions".. He said that they are probably enabled and that's the problem.  Sorry to say, it was NOT the problem.  All the restriction buttons were disabled.  So I DID get a response, but it did NOT help .  I wrote back to him saying thanks but no thanks.  So we're back at square one...

    Well atleast it's a response but as mentioned before, since all of us suddenly got the same problem at the same time having the same iOS i guess it's the firmware which is the problem, it's not compatible with the App store.

    utah, i got a response too & emailed back saying it didnt help (apple support seem to think the problems with  the phone not the app store which it clearly is)

    Ive notified BBC TV's watchdog also & anyone in the UK should join in too.

    I still havent had a reply after I emailed back stating apples help didnt help! (though the person did ask me to email back if it still didnt work)

    If I get a reply (helpfull or not) Ill let you all know.

    Thanks, keep up the good work, can't wait to hear what they have to say, cus i still have no respons yet, so we'll see.

    Great that you informed BBC would help alot if we got it out there.

    I got two responses already, first about calling Apple Support in my country and second one with some steps to do (like syncing with iTunes etc). Of course there wasn't anything I didn't try before. The Apple buddy also wrote that he spoke to his supervisor about the problem, but he "was unable to get any information on why iOS 3 users are unable to use the app store properly" from him. I replied again and CLEARLY explained that the problem lies on AppStore's side. Also asked to inform the supervisor's supervisor about the prob.

    We will see......................................... or not greets

    No drop down or anywhere to type anything. Pop ups and ads unblocked. I'm using Ubuntu, I guess it might be that, I dunno.

    That's great finally some proper actions, hopefully they will find a solution soon!

    Which browser are you using? If you're not already using it, try Firefox/check for update.

    Firefox 3.6.24 which is the latest for Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. I'll try Chrome next.
