I have 10 songs in my library that show the iCloud status to be waiting, they have been like this for over 24hrs.
Is this normal behaviour?
Is there anything i can do to get the status to change?
Have you tried restarting the computer and/or ITunes?
I have tried re-starting iTunes but not my computor yet, im currently defragging my Time machine drive, so ill give that a go when it finishes.
Defrag finished, restarted my iMac. Issue persists.
In my case, I found out it was because I had an old .mpg file lying around in my library that I guess was hanging things up. As I got rid of those, my last few songs switched from "waiting" to done.
Thanks for that! I had a .plist in my library (!?!) and it seemed to be hung up there. I have dumped it and will restart... hopefully the several hundred songs will stop waiting now...
I had added a .mov then converted to an .aac, the .aac version was stuck on waiting.
deleting the .mov version allowed the .aac to upload.
My uploading to the cloud was stuck for hours. My thinking was the audio books being of large file sizes the cause of the slowness.
As it turns out, the problem was virtual memory was switched off on my windows 7 system.
Switched it on and all works fine.
how do you "switch" virtual memory ON? Thanks
