Nov 13, 2011 8:22 PM in response to nixamby cavi94,No, everywhere i search, all i have found is half way answers/solutions. i personally dont understand why such information should be so readily accesible on a device that can be so easily comprimised. Put privacy back in the users hands, and more options of how they control it. Hiding is not removing!

Nov 13, 2011 8:27 PM in response to cavi94by deggie,Put a password on your iPhone and set it up where you can wipe it if you lose it or it is stolen.
There will never be a way to remove a purchase. Have you tried calling your credit card company and ask them to remove a purchase?

Nov 25, 2011 6:51 PM in response to deggieby sunglasses michael,Of course, with your credit card they probably didn't suddenly start to include the purchase history after, years in some cases, you began using the card to make purcahses.
Aside from that, the purchased history list in this form is supposed to be a benefit to the user to allow them to recover purchases they may have lost. Removing an app from that list certainly does not have to be the same as asking Apple to erase all their records of what you've purchased or refund your money.

Nov 25, 2011 7:01 PM in response to nixamby stevejobsfan0123,Why would you WANT to delete the purchase history? If you lose the data on your phone and the purchase history is deleted you will have to pay for all of your apps again. Maybe you ten people do not like this feature, but everyone else does not like having to pay for their apps twice when something happens with their phone, so that feature is here to stay.

Nov 25, 2011 7:06 PM in response to sunglasses michaelby deggie,Currently your purchase history is just that, it is linked to Apple's records of what you have purchased regardless of how you paid for it. They could create a duplicate "list" of purchased apps that are semi-related to the purchase history but this would be a huge expense and institutes another layer of potential problems. To me the "hide" option is a good solution. You can send Apple feedback but I seriously doubt much will change.

Dec 4, 2011 11:28 PM in response to deggieby tonsofhomework,Apple isn't my bank nor my credit card company nor do I recall them being any sort of financial institution. Don't compare apples to rocks! If I decide to disassociate any app from my apple ID permanently (knowing that I'd have to repurchase it and not caring about a refund) I should have that right. And if I'm stupid enough to disassociate an app from my account that I deem worthless and then try to install it again I think it totally fair to make me pay for it twice.

Dec 5, 2011 10:26 AM in response to tonsofhomeworkby deggie,Actually since they sell products they are a financial institution. They have to keep accounting records of all financial transactions and report them just like any other company. This is why you can't "unbuy" a product from them.

Dec 9, 2011 10:21 PM in response to AKRBTNby ocwarren77,wait, how do you sign out of your app store account??

Dec 20, 2011 9:34 AM in response to nixamby iGenius99,So, you have a few questionable apps you deleted from your phone that you don't want Mom to see? No big.
There is a solution, and it is a bit simpler than what is being proposed here.
It's called Swipe 'n Hide.
1) Open the App Store.
2) Tap "Updates" at the bottom right.
3) Tap "Purchased" at the top.
4) Tap "Not on this iPhone"
5) Swipe from right to left on the iCloud (re)install icon next to the app you wish to make disappear, and a red "Hide" button should appear in its place.
6) Tap "Hide" and the app will disappear forever unless you log into the App Store Account with your password to unhide it.

Apr 4, 2012 1:51 AM in response to nixamby KuponoHI,On the inquiry about deleting previously purchased apps, I was wondering if this is more of an iCloud issue and if so, does anyone know how to "contact" iCloud to get them to delete past purchased apps off of my phone to protect my privacy?
