I've been on OS X Lion now since it came out.  I have reset permissions on my home folder using the Recovery Partition since my files had left-over permissions from the days of Tiger - have no idea how, but it's fixed now.  I was in the GUID, so now I'm in the 20(staff) group.  My Lion installation was a clean installation.  I ran Disk Utility to repair permissions, etc.

It would seem that TextEdit is having a hard time.  2 seconds after TextEdit starts with a previous file, it starts beach-balling for about 2-5 seconds.  This happens every time.

Anyone else seeing this issue?  Any suggestions for a fix?
