I have a project that is Mainly comprised of pictures, but i insert one, it goes ok most of the time, then i add another, likely just after the previously inserted one. but instead of it working like it should. it will use the same picture just a different zoom like a new picture should, the timeline looks normal though. PLEASE HELP NEED TO FINISH A PROJECT BY WEDNESDAY!!

    Hi MacBook521,

This may or may not help, but try deleting iMovie's preference file. If open, close iMovie then in Finder navigate to the file named "com.apple.iMovieApp.plist" in your User (Home) folder Library>Preferences. Drag this file to the Trash. When next opened iMovie will create a fresh file with the default settings. You may need to change some settings to suit your own preference. To do this, in iMovie's Menu go to iMovie>Preferences and make appropriate changes in each of the tabs.

Deleting the preference file can often fix problems with iMovie. The file can become corrupted in some circumstances, such as when iMovie quits unexpectedly.

See this Apple article for more on iLife Troubleshooting Basics (includes a reference to deleting the preference file): http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3249

....there was a section about the relation to the way it imports pictures, it was an old version method

Not quite sure what you are saying there, but I hope that deleting the preference file has fixed things for you!

Trying to find/delete the suggested file: com.apple.iMovieApp.plist

It doesn't show anywhere under my Library.  Running on Lion latest version.

Having problems with inserting pictures.  When I try it, I get a black picture instead.

Any help will be much appreciated.
