Aperture will often jump to another image while I'm editing. is there a way to create an folder? on the left side to get to these last edited/viewed images?

Sometimes relocating the image is more difficult that I'd expect.  Has anyone had this experience and can anyone help? I'm not sure why the screen jumps either.

    Larry,

what is your Aperture Version? If you are using Aperture 3, then MacOS 10.6.8 is the recommended OS, not 10.6.2 as in your signature. Perhaps an upgrade could get rid of those jumps. Do you see any error messages or warnings in the console window when Aperture is "jumping?"

If your system is already the current version, and you have not already done so, try the Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805, corrupted preference files or a corrupted library may cause such erratic behaviour.

Sorry, I don't have a solution for a smart album to collect your most recently edited images, their don't seem to be any predefined searches.

    Regards

Come to think about it - you could just flag the image before you begin to edit it. Then you will have direct access to it from the "flagged" album or by setting the Browser search field to "flagged".

To flag an image use the Aperture Application menu -> Metadata -> Flag (or the keyboard shortcut you see there - on my german keyboard that is the umlaut "Ü"; probably you see a different keyboard shortcut).
