Does you sound system preferences give you an output option to choose your bluetooth speakers?
Does the bluetooth system preferences allow you to pair the device in the first place?

Yes, the speaker is already paired with the PC. so I can play music through the wireless speaker from pandora.com, for instance. But when I try to play songs from itunes, it plays through the compter speakers and I want to be able to play from itunes to the wireless speaker.

It just dawned on me that you are asking a windows pc-spedific iTunes question. Bluetooth yes, but windows none-the-less. I think you would be better off going to the apple forum specifically for windows itunes problems:

I have the same problem.
Windows XP with Bluetooth Dongle and a Sony BT101. Works fine with all other programs and skype, including headset function, but iTunes won't switch to it, or offer a button to switch between computer speakers and Bluetooth headphones. It does work for me when I quit iTunes, after bluetooth is connected and restart it. After the restart, it's working...including start/stop function provided by the buttons on the headphones...
Hope that helps...
