I can't even get the windows support software to download. Heck, I just purchased, downloaded and installed Lion, and now I can't even find it on my HDD. I was hoping there was a way for me to pull the needed files off from the downloaded image. Any ideas? Is there another way to aquire the windows support software?

What is exactly your problem? You can't even find lion on your HDD?

don't know about appending but most use USB flash memory or something else
yes it really is super slow and s****s royally bad.
There was a post with older version, not current, set of drivers, that is 600MB and takes a couple minutes is all.
Complain on Apple Feedback etc, it has been dismall and horrible for a year, ever since they went to what should have been a great idea, download and get the current full set of drivers.
The drivers are downloaded from within Boot Camp Assistant.
Not Lion installer which after all only has the Assistant utility.

Thank you all, problem is resolved. Although I am still unable to locate my digital version of Lion that I downloaded from Apple...strange.
Basicly, I was able to find a link to a 4.x version of bootcamp for lion, extracted the windows driverse from the .pkg file and I'm in business. Dual boot is working great.
Thanks again for all of your help.
