Did you ever get the problems with your Airs fixed? I'm having the same issue, and it seems that it is related to putting the computer to sleep when an external monitor is connected to the computer. This seems to be frying the logic boards. Any ideas if this might have been the cause of your problem? Are the machines working correctly now? Best,

My machine was fixed through an authorized distributor. They had to change the logics and another piece of the energy system.
2 days ago I left the MBA turned off above another notebook, also powered off. When I tried to power up the MBA, it did not respond at all. "Oh my God!!! Not again!!!", I thought. I tried every step recommended and it was completely dead. The only difference was that when I pressed together shift+ctrl+opt+del, the magsafe changed in color.
I took the MBA to a table to skin it with the cover protector, but I insisted in turning it up again, and it was OK!!!!! I sighed and I thought "It looks like when I go to the mechanics with my car, he doesn't find any trouble!"
I worked for half an hour and then took the MBA and returned to my office where I put again the MBA above the turned off notebook, and voila, the MBA suddenly went off. I lifted it and in surprise it turned on again!! Each time I put the MBA above and in contact with to the other TURNED OFF notebook, the MBA went dead.
I share this with you since it is very odd. Maybe an static problem? I don't know but since then I was careful no to put the 2 notebooks close and the MBA is doing fine.
