Q: Imac g5 problem with ethernet internet

Imac g5 running Tiger 10.4.11. Connected to internet via ethernet cable. Recently having problems with the internet. Will work for about 3 minutes and then Network Diagnostics will show internet and server yellow, then a minute later turn red and fail. Usually will come back within 10 minutes, and then repeat the same thing of working for about 3 minutes, turning yellow, and then failing. Unplugged ethernet cord multiple times. Trashed the com.apple.internetconfig.plist. Ran out of ideas. Any input is greatly appreciated, thank you!

    Make sure your PRAM battery is less than 4 years old.

    Try a different ethernet cable.  Try setting your MTU higher.  Try resetting DHCP connection.

    G5s aren't Intel, and Intels aren't G5.  What do you have?  You posted to the Intel iMac forum.  I can answer most questions for both, but if you find a question I can't answer in your alloted time, you may want to post to the correct forum:
