Q: Where can I buy Waveburner separately?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for somewhere to buy Waveburner 1.6 without having to buy the entire Logic Studio suite to accompany it. Personally, I'm a Pro Tools person, however I compile albums in Waveburner. It's been fine up until now as I've been compiling them at studios, but now that I want to do them at home I'm looking at other options.

With Logic on the App Store, why is there not an option to buy Waveburner separately?!? It's extremely frustrating!

WaveBurner seems to be deprecated (= dead) and is therefore not available in the Mac App Store.

Hmm that *****... Thanks for the response. I was a bit dubious as there have been no updates for a long long time. Any news on a good alternative? I've read about a few, but they seem quite focused on multitrack editing and plugins, which is not really what I need it for.

I don't think Waveburner is dead at all. AFAIK it was only ever available bundled with Logic. I'm using v1.6.1 that came with Logic 9 and it's great.

I think went the term dead is used, it's for new those guys that want waverburner. It's dead as a new product to purchase, not if you already have it installed. Rickthemix, you are a lucky fellow as I don't have waveburner, I have no way to purchase or obtain a copy.
