I'm not sure where to find the older version of the itunes software and associated files that are referred to in some posts but I did try both the command prompt fix and the uninstall / reinstall the whole apple suite of programs.
Sorry to say neither is working for me. Any additional help, or thoughts? If I do locate the older software to install what other functionalities will I be losing?
Apple, this is costing you money, I can't search in the full blown version of your store which I know would cause me to make purchases. No telling how many others are not buying due to the same reason.
Found the issue for me....It was Net Nanny, by putting in the recommendations of "rough ready" in the following discussion link https://discussions.apple.com/message/17013861#17013861 the store started working for me
