I figured as much.
Thanks for pointing me to the article.
What made me wonder was that as I was following a support article explaining how to move mail preferences from one mac to another, I was instructed to go to my homefolder/library folder and copy my keychain access folder. Of course, I could not find the ~/library folder.
Anyway, thanks again.
I love the support discussion board.
It is still the fastest and best way to get answers to questions.
Why wait to talk to an Apple rep when you can post a question, go pour a glass of wine, and come back and find three answers to your question?
That's why I love my mac!

And I meant every word.
I have been an Apple/Mac user since the IIe (my first Apple product): back in the day when using an Apple product was not considered cool, but more often than not elicited chuckles.
But I knew a good thing when I saw it.
Stuck with Apple.
Even bought their stock: when it was $16 a share!
Who's laughing now!
Through the years I've helped many one time detractors make the switch, for which they are always grateful.
And the one thing I tell everyone of them about from the beginning is the Apple discussion support site.
It saves them from becoming dependant on me for helping them solve their computer related problems.
Why ask just one person (a.k.a., me) for an answer when you can ask thousands???
The Apple community support site has saved my butt many a time!
Without a doubt, it is the most under-rated bonus of being an Apple user.
I've helped my fair share of users through the years, but I know I've benifited much more than I've contributed.
Also, by the way, with the help of the article I was pointed to, I was able to "unhide" my ~/Library folder and transfer the info I needed to set up my new Mac.
All is good!

Wow, this answer helped me too - I was racking my brain as to how I possibly could have lost that folder (actually I thought I accidentally moved it as there is now a Library folder inside my Documents folder - wierd! but I'll address that in a separate question).
Thanks all for this great resource that is the community boards....you've bailed me out more times than you know!
