Jan 30, 2012 7:26 AM in response to dbcarlby Matthew Morgan,Depending on your camera, you may be able to use the Apple Camera Connection Kit.

The other option is to first download the video to your computer and then move it to the iPad.

Jan 30, 2012 8:20 AM in response to dbcarlby Skydiver119,the CCK follows some very explicit parameters, and you can check these with your computer
It sees files in a DCIM folder on the top level of the card (this is standard with most if not all cameras) and the file name has to be 8 characters exactly....so if your camera names stuff MOV_123 it won't work, but if it's MOV_0123 then it will.
There have been some people that have issues hooking their camera up to the CCK, but if your camera uses SD cards, then it works with those quite well.

May 11, 2016 8:58 PM in response to Skydiver119by Moosefuel Media,There is also the USB camera connection kit, which just plugs into the cable provided by the camera manufacturer. This worked with my Sony camera when the SD card reader could not, because of something called MTP mode, but don't ask me what that is.
