I thought I made my thoughts clear. And DDR3 is faster and cheaper and doesn't heat up either. 4,1 has better graphics. A 2TB drive should not even be a consideration.
If you can't buy otherwise; if you will have trouble getting what you need selling yours; but up to you.
And for $300US you can out run 3,1 8-core with a new processor if you wanted.
buying 4 yr old system remember.
You are right! Have been thinking about something else now. Last option I will choose from. I was looking for the Mac mini. I can choose for a Mac Mini server with 2.0 quad-core 256 SSD and 750 gb. but not a very nice video card. Or the Mac mini 2,7 Duo core i7 also with 256 ssd and 750gb but with a better video card. I can get both for about 1300 euro's. Which one is a better option? The quad-core or the better video card.
I will go for the Mac Pro 4,1 ( 2 years old) or even a Mac Pro 5,1 if they accept my price and if it is less than 1 year old. Or I will go for the brand new Mac Mini. That is why I want to know what you think of the mini's I named.
You have convinced me not to go for a 3,1 or older. The chance something will stop working is much bigger and the replacement parts cost a lot more!
