    I think it's the best.

Among the software I have installed I don't see any upgrade coming this year or even next year, that I want to use and demands moving to a newer OS.

Ive posted in here a while back and everytime I read the updates on this thread it seems to be always someone elses thoughts and opinion vs another about SE vs MC and which should be used.

From the title of this thread, I guess its safe to say  that this tread is more focused on the point about bring the old Expose and Spaces back into Lion rather than complaining about either SE or MC and which should exist over the other.

I personally would like to see the old SE back, but that does not mean we would need to get rid of MC all together.  Simply Apple should have given its users the choice of which one they would like to use... SE or MC.  As we and Apple are currently at the tipping point or peak where hybrid touch screen laptop/tablets may start to  exist and become popular.  Hence the creation of OSX Lion, Launch Pad, the way how MC looks and works ( Very Liniar compared to SE. ) and lastly how everything has become more grided or pre-aligned ( like Windows 7 and 8 ).

I hope in future Apple would consider adding an extra setting in where it lets the user choose between a Hybrid OS or a full laptop/desktop OS.

Spaces and Expose are simply not a feature of Lion. Carry on all you want. Apple made a decision to move on and either live with it, move backwards or tell Apple. Don't blame me for pointing out that MC is a feature of Lion which has sold them well over six million downloads. Give it a rest and save your breath for the next update when it still does t return.

    Cheerio

And you can't even pick on a point in my thread. You seriously need have a laugh at yourself! Haha. I have no plans of leaving this thread. It is funny how people still think Apple will do a backflip and bring back Spaces.

    Cheers

MM - Just what is your problem? You sound amazingly stupid and you are giving women and genuine Apple fans a bad name. I am not interested in debating your idiotic and condescending points because that would be a waste of time. Can't you get the message that there are a lot of people on this thread that think your contribution is totally meaningless. You're sufficiently audacious to complain that a poster is mocking you for no reason.THE REASON IS VERY SIMPLE.YOU GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU ARE AN IDIOT.

WUM's like you do not belong on an Apple forum.I have been an Apple fan for nearly twenty years and I don't think I have ever experienced such a patronising poster as yourself. If you're one of the new breed then you are doing Apple no favours whatsoever. We all enjoy change. That is why we are Apple fans! That does not mean we are so stupid that we cannot challenge change or suggest improvements. That is how products improve. Why do you think Apple introduce system upgrades? They don't always get it right first time everytime! LIVE WITH IT!

    Rant over.Please go away.

    Cheerio !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm seems you did. No, Spaces won't be coming back. You are the ranters, the sooks, the whingers and the ones who just don't get it. You really do believe that Apple monitor everything in this forum. You really have no idea do you. Spaces & Expose = Gone. Simple. A child would understand, but not you small few. Thanks for thanking me for keeping this post alive. Happy to oblige.

    Thank You for the compliments.

    Happy Days

To posters that want the return of Spaces badly, I'd say if there's nothing that ties you to Lion, forget that cat, get over it, return to Snow Leopard and enjoy good old Spaces like you did before. And wait to see if the future is any better after Lion.

Apple released Airport Utility 6.0 for Lion, it has less options than earlier versions and sports an iOS like interface. Among the commenters on Mac Rumors there even is one asking to get multitasking back.

Perhaps, if you haven't changed your workhorse for a tablet by the end of 2012, there will be a solution for you too—whether it comes from Apple or not.

    I can wait.

Well that should put the pressure on Apple.

I think that expresses the absurdity of iOS like applications on computers that aren't phones or tablets. I do not think that any user comment could put any pressure on Apple.

Apple quite clearly are happy to sacrific power-users for the mass market of consumable devices; hence MC is all preparation for touch-screens in their notebook and desktop range.  It's the obvious consolidation.  Given the respective market sizes and likely profits it makes good business sense.

From a UI perspective, for a power-user Expose and Spaces is awesome, but not necessary for a casual media device.  Apple have always been for stripping away clutter.

For me, i miss the power of SL, so i will have to re-revaluate when i come to replace my mbp.

Purely your choice. Millions disagree with you and have moved on from Slow Leopard to Lion without a hiccup.

MM - thank you for pointing out that it's my choice.  Gee i would have not realised otherwise!

"Disagree"? - What is there to agree or disagree about?

It's about functionality useful to the individual.

Your comment is about as relevant as arguing the merits of a fork-lift truck.  Great if i worked in warehouse, not so useful working in the City.

    Best regards

Yes, yes. I completely agree with whatever that comparison is meant to be relevant to. ???? lol
