While surfing with safari - if I pinch and zoom to zoom in  (which i like to do because my eyes aren't the greates)

it makes the page freeze - and i can't scroll it anymore (at all)

Anyone have any suggestions?

Very late reply: When this happens, do you also get a "fuzzy", "pixelized" view in Safari? Happens quite often to me. Mostly, I can make it work again by double-tap zooming out or in once or twice, but it's really annoying.

The pinch-to-zoom gesture has not worked since I updated to Lion.  Occasionally when I attempt to use this feature in Safari the webpage becomes pixelated and all I can do is or open a new tab or window.  It happened a lot more frequently when I first updated which was frustrating, but it has stopped happening as often and is more of a random annoyance.  Even so, I used the pinch to zoom in/out gesture a lot with my 13" MBP now it's really just a hassle to do most anything online.  The ⌘ -/+ is functional, however not optimal.  Really frustrated, I was hoping that there was a solution..

I've had the same problem with my previously reliable Pro since upgrading to Lion.  Rebooting or turning the trackpad zoom preferences off and on only helps temporarily.  Is anyone from Apple following this thread?  Is it a bug?  Will there be a fix coming soon?  Does anyone know how to amend this problem?  Should I reinstall Snow Leopard?  Thanks.

ShyloR, I recommend that you turn off pinch-to-zoom in the track pad settings, after I did that, this bug is not that frequent. Also, my experience is that whenever a Safari page "freezes" and gets "blurry", you can just close that tab and open a new tab, without having to quit Safari.

So all in all, I can live with this bug until Apple fixes it. In fact I think a more annoying aspect of the current Safari is that it eats memory like a troll.

Amen to that. I hoped going to Lion would bring an improvement to this behavior, but it is worse, causing me to have to quit Safari or even restart to reclaim memory.

Apple, how about a slowdown of great new features until you get the memory problems under control?
