I rented a movie on my laptop using my iTunes , left the house and pulled up my iTunes acc on my iPhone to finish watching my movie... and it's not there? what the fu** is this bull **** I thought these phones and iTunes are suppose to be the new thing, to me this is stupid and not acceptable waste of money. SCAM , isn't the iTunes on your lap top the same iTunes acc on your phone? I just don't get it dosent add up, I've herd stories on here where ppl try to transfer the movie over by plugging there phone into there laptop but you shouldn't even have to do that, when you rent a movie on your lap top with iTunes it's should automatically be put on to your iPhone , just like it does with our music we buy on iTunes.

The Automatic downloads service is for music, apps and iBooks. If you rent a movie in iTunes you'll have to sync it to your iPhone.

This is probably because each type of content has diffrent copyright restrictions. I don't think you can do what you expect with any online service.

    • If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4, iPod touch (4th generation), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
    • If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

yah I understand that now, I think apple should figure out a way to make it possible, I mean we have come this far in technology, i guess it just boggles me how it's not possible haha I'm sure if they fixed this there would be atleast a few hundred thousand happier apple customers lol

i honestly want you to name another company that has technology similar to iphone, like an area where wireless syncing is possible

yes my iCloud is enabled but it dosent make a difference

there's apparently alot of technology similar to the iPhone or even better from what I've heard and read, but that's besides the fact. i just think its ridiculous that your music can transfer to both.. but a video can't lol it's the same iTunes on your laptop as it is on your phone, It just dosent add up to me, I barley know anything about technology but this seems odd for some reason, maybe one day this will be possible :)

Well all of your stuff should be on all of your devices because of iCloud.

yah that's what I thought... but nope, only music and photos and books n what not, deffinetly no movies, maybe one day though, apple probbly sighned a contract with the music industry to allow automatic syncing to happen, there for they would need to do the same with the movie industry. maybe perhaps lol

    synyster156 Level 2 Level 2 (280 points)

yeah there was a lot of contracts that the music industry had to sign in order for it to be possible, they had to get four major record companies to sign the contract and apple paid alot of $$$$$ in order for them to budge

yah, now if apple could do the same with the movie industry we will be golden lol

    synyster156 Level 2 Level 2 (280 points)

if they did THEY wouldn't be golden anymore hahaha the movie industry might suckem dry, they'd be more like plate silver haha
