I wanted to post just the same link. Sounds promising - let's hope Apple's finally done their homework.
"Address a graphics performance issue after sleep on some earlier iMacs that use ATI graphics"
The release notes for 10.7.3 state "Address a graphics performance issue after sleep on some earlier iMacs that use ATI graphics." Can anyone confirm?
Can anyone confirm?
Yes. This bug is fixed
I would't believe if apple did not solve the bug.
Should I uninstall the drivers from Snow Leopard or just update my iMac with 10,7,3?
Just update to 10.7.3
No, don't. Drever replaced.
10.7.3 has finally fixed my issues on my iMac.... better late than never.
10.7.3 did NOT fix the issue on my Mac Pro (early 2008) with Radeon 5770.
Can anyone tell me, what version of ATI* extension files you have? I have 7.18.11. I'm trying to understand, why update didn't help me.
Yes! The 10.7.3 update finally fixed all graphics related problems with my iMac 2.8GHz (early 2008) ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro.
Thank you Apple!
didin't fix my imac 27" 3.06 ghz with ati 4670..
launchpad and sometimes mission control transitions are slow and choppy sometimes
Latest update didn't solve the slowdown on my Macbook Pro 17" early 2006 (A1212). User interface is still incredibly slow, much more painful than on 10.6.8 on the same tasks.
I have same driver version and 10.7.3 don't fix my problem.... at boot the performance is good, after wake-up safari scroll the pages in some sites very slow!!! I have radeon6870, i suspect the fix is only for older gpu...
At the moment the sleep is unusable.
This fixed the issues on my iMac 2.8GHz (early 2008) ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro, finally!
