Verizon is best for you because you don't want to waste your $50 rebate.
Apple store classes are best for you because you can learn all about your phone directly from Apple. They are the ones who designed the phone, after all.
Also, please don't use all caps, it's considered to be shouting.

$50 is $50 but I do not want to be stuck with a bad purchase. I actually have not been happy with Verizon and I am still there after 5 years. if there is a better deal, like my friend who said she came home from Best Buy and just this one day they had the iPhone 4S free with a 2 year contract and unlimited across the board she has to pay. I said no way. I still do not know what she paid for the phone, but I heard that sprint has terrible service. I guess you will eventually hear that about all companies. If it was a 4G device I would not go with Sprint. If this person liked me I would ask her, but actually she is my best friends' wife, who really can't stand me, so I have not asked her. she is not one to not tell the truth so I guess she just hit it on the right day.
But again, I do not want to have terrible service and be charged twice as much as the other carriers just to get my $50.
Just for your persistence, you get something. Hey it is 5 points.

You know the top iPhone 4S at the Apple Store is $399!! So do you know how I do this? do I get the iPhone fist, where at ATT? I do not care if I keep the same phone number. Do you know what the process would be?

$399 is for 64GB of storage on the phone. This is quite a lot. If you don't plan to load that much content on it, get a 16GB for $199. You can go to AT&T or Apple and someone will be happy to assist you in making the purchase. You will also be able to keep the old number.

does the blue apple mean I get a free iPhone 4S? I kind of want a new number. what is the better place to go? Can't the apple store also sell the phone, get it set-up, get my plan set-up, etc?
I think some times places have like free activation or some other promos which is what my best friend's wife did.
I was going to use it a lot as a vieo camera and put the teaching videos on my website. that is why I thought maybe I will need a bigger size. This phone can record videos in HD, right? Are you waiting for iPhone 5?

No, the blue Apple is just my signature, what makes you say that? Yes, the Apple Store can get it set up for you and get you all ready to go with AT&T. There are no freebies, either for iPhones or for plans. Yes it can record in HD. No, I have an iPhone 4S, had it since October.

But it was just in one of your replies. that is strange.
No freebies???? Phone cariers always used to give freebies like no activation fee, Best Buy has buy 1 iPhone 4S, get 1 free. So there are freebies. You think the ATT store is the best place to go? I went there when the fist iPhone came out, I had it for 30 minutes, took it back, and my bill was $300, which did not include the phone.
Many years ago.

I usually only put my signature in my first post, as I got complaints that it was taking up too much space otherwise. By accident I posted it again in my most recent post. You are purchasing a single phone, not two, so no freebies. AT&T is the best place to go. I don't understand your comment. What do you mean you had a phone for 30 minutes and then took it back? That doesn't make any sense.

But Meg if you get a Verizon mobile Hotspot it requires a phone line and just a standalone one is about $50 for "unlimited" use. And they do sell one 3G still because there are some people like iPhone4S users have no use for the 4G. Look in their online store and you will se it NEW.

I was all excieted about the iPhone. Just liike I had the irst Apple desktop computer, I had to get the first iPhone. I got it and did not even know it required touch (heat) to activate the keyboard and display, so I was walking around trying to find the right stick to use. I am realy kind of stupid when it comes to technology. I learn, but at first I usually do not know. I kept hitting other yets that I did not want to hit when I found out I needed to use my fingers. I thouhgtt, this thing is not going to ork for me. I was too quick to make a decision. I needed to work with it and neeeded someone to give me some lessons. After I had all of these expereinces, I took it back. They rang it all up, called the main "store" ATT to get the call, text totals, restocking fees, etc. It was an expereince. Does that kind of explain it?

That does make more sense, but it seems that even if they charged you for a month's worth of service and a restocking fee, it shouldn't add up to 300 dollars. Anyway, that is why I recommended taking classes at the Apple Store. But yeah, I would make a visit to AT&T to get your phone.

It was an ordeal. I took it back and ended up getting the whole $300 off my bill. the guy who sold it to me, and who gave me to a lady at the main ATT company (I think to check my credit profile) were all in it, but she told me, the lady at ATT on the phone that this is all refundable, if I do not like it after so many days. But there was nothing about the calls, the text messages, etc. it all worked out.
