Q: safari won't connect to internet,

Lately Safari has been loosing internet connection, all other connections (Firefox, Mail etc) are working fine.

After doing the latest Lion Update 10.7.3 knowing there was problems I used the combo update, Safari will not connect.

Still Mail and Firefox are fine.  I have tried empting cache and reseting Safari but still won't connect.

Can anyone please help.

I'm debating a plist file probably needs to be pulled again here.

May want to repair permissions first to see what happens.

So Safari always works, but then stops working after a while?

    Tks Hackintosh

When ever I do an update I repair permissions prior to installing and after installing.  Just something my brother keeps telling me to do.

Yes Safari works fine but occasionally when you go to click another page it comes back with unable to connect to the internet.  So I check my router, it's fine, check Firefox is working, it is, and then check to see if I can receive mail, and I can.  I go back to Safari but still cannot connect to the internet.

I shut down Safari and reboot and it works fine.

    Are you connecting wirelessly?

Can you make a new account, and let us know if the same issue exists on that one?

I am ethernet connected.  I might change ports on the modem to see if that makes any difference.

    Thank you for your assistance.

And don't forget to try Safari from a different account, that can help us narrow this sucker down.
